Plot Summary

Kham lives in a rural village in Thailand with his father and his two elephants, Por Yai and his son Kern. Kham's father tells him that Por Yai is the descendant of the war elephants that belonged to King Naresuan, and that he must protect them at all costs. One day, a group of men led by Johnny, a martial artist working for a crime lord named Madame Rose, raid the village and capture Por Yai and Kern. Kham fights them off, but they manage to escape with the elephants on a truck. Kham follows them to Bangkok, where he learns that they have been smuggled to Sydney, Australia.

Kham arrives in Sydney with only a picture of Por Yai's footprint as a clue. He meets Sergeant Mark, a Thai-born Australian policeman who is investigating Madame Rose's activities. Mark agrees to help Kham find his elephants after seeing his fighting skills. They track down the truck driver who transported the elephants, but he is killed by Johnny before he can reveal anything. Kham and Mark then go to Tom Yum Goong Otob, a Thai restaurant owned by Madame Rose, where they find Kern being served as a special dish. Kham rescues Kern and fights his way out of the restaurant, facing Madame Rose's henchmen, including two giant bodyguards named TK and Vincent.

Kham learns that Por Yai is being kept at Madame Rose's private property, where she plans to use him as a symbol of her power. Kham infiltrates the property and fights his way through Madame Rose's army of guards and fighters. He reaches Por Yai's cage and frees him, but is confronted by Johnny, who reveals that he is Kham's cousin and that he betrayed his family for money. Kham defeats Johnny and escapes with Por Yai and Kern on a boat. However, Madame Rose shoots at them with a rocket launcher, causing the boat to explode.

Kham survives the explosion and swims to shore with his elephants. He is reunited with Mark, who tells him that Madame Rose has been arrested and that he has arranged for him to return to Thailand with his elephants. Kham thanks Mark for his help and bids him farewell. He then rides on Por Yai's back with Kern as they head back to their village.
